Dear Music-Lover,
You hold our 7th album in your hands. For this issue thank you again for our supporters. We elected - in an optimistic mood - the content of the 'cartoon-record' unison: we also wanted enjoy ourselves. In that time we have no idea how many problem will occur in the studio. Among our records this is the furthest from the 20's traditional jazz. To the bounded form of dixieland we wanted to work in compositions written for solo and orchestra. The next step was the moving to the studio where we have tested our and the music editor's patience and creativity.
Most of the cartoons are made for children, the music and the sounds are set to the motion and the figures personality. Lucky us, in many there is dixie theme without concrete restriction. Choosing from the favorites of the band, 40 song came up, 2 whole albums material. And the final number is now 13 because sometimes we mixed 2 different themes. For some reason nobody wanted to discard the Muppet shows' opening, that's why it ended up as a bonus track. Of course we don't need to go to the neighborhood for good ideas. Because the rhythm and melody are quite unusual, the merit of implementation to dixieland is Attila's and Tibi's. Norbi blew some solos into a tin or a plastic dinner-can. After trying with countless materials, Kovi finally used the sound engineer's hat for trombone dimming. Attila brought some latin rhythms from the kitchen with a scent siphon. The clarinet duos and varieties doesn't mean I can play more instrument simultaneously (it happens sometimes) but there is another track. Vali was forced to show all what she has, her entire clattering and stick sets than the ability to switch them several times. We put one track on the self what we must make up some day. Tibi and Kovi promised unwary if we record the Three Little Pigs cartoons music, they will do the necessary grunting.

Dear Music-Lover,
The year 2006 was spent under the aegis of the concert tour in Australia. We went to the stage 23 times in 4 international jazz festivals, with great success and we would meet with 104 other bands. This run of luck increased the self-confidence in us. We decided: we would record such songs which 'we always would have liked to perform with somebody but somehow it never took place'. Consequently, among the 13 songs there are only two (Ice Cream and Everybody Loves) ever played on stage by us, the other favourites were born in the studio. On the records, the musicians were given line enough, they did not have to strongly insist on even to the original song and its style. This opportunity was expected badly by Norbi since he learned a lot form the Australian stars. A typical example is the Ice Cream, where everybody adopted different songs into his/her solo. It is the first appearance to the washboard, the cycle ringer, the siren, the alto sax, the mug, the toilet pump and the knocker among the instruments. That is the first time to record a traditional, sad blues (St. James Infirmary) and the first time when we composed a song from 9 others (Manah-manah).
In two weeks the band falsified Tibi's phrase, that 'beyond a certain age there is no way to tutorize but to tame'... Just one day before Christmas we could take into our hands the newest piece of our CDs published yearly: the Dixie Time. Right with one day after Christmas we could start to design our new costume because Norbi again grew out of everything.

Dear Music-Lover,
You are holding the fourth CD of Dixie Jam Session in your hands. Hopefully, this special selection comprised of female names will be a curiosity among the other albums. During the selection of the 40 collected songs such great names 'fell out' as Clementine, Natalie, Mary Lou, Evelyn, Patricia... We knew only two of the selected songs; for the sake of variety we play these songs in rumba and boogie rhythm. I chose Michelle for the Lennon-anniversary, Norbi's choice fell on Waltzing Matilda (from 1895!) in honour of the Australian Bob Barnard and the American Jim Cullum trumpeters.
With the 11 American and 1 Australian compositions we also included a Hungarian song (as a thank-you to our families for their great patience). Unfortunately, we could not find any song entitled Valerie for our drummer - we are composing one for our next album, with plenty of drum-solos. In honour of the women (and the topic) we even re-coloured our emblem and traditionally black CD.
